At Permanent Make-up by Graham Martin, your safety and final result are my top priorities. Because permanent makeup involves breaking the skin, following these aftercare steps is essential to prevent infection and ensure your pigment heals beautifully.

  • What to Expect

    Most people feel only a slight momentary “snap” at the treatment site during theprocedure followed by a slight heating of the skin. This typically goes away after the treatment but cooling methods can be used immediately after treatment to help with this sensation

  • Essential Aftercare Routine

    Typically, you can resume regular daily activities immediately following treatment.

  • Things to Avoid (For at least 7 days)

    Laser hair removal can remove hair from faces, backs, chests, arms, underarms, bikini, legs and more.

  • Long-Term Care & Maintenance

    Different lasers can effectively treat different skin types. Our laser can be used on a wide range of skin types from very light to very dark skin. During your consultation we will determine the best course of treatment for you based on a variety of factors such as hair color and hair type.

  • The Perfecting Appointment

    A 6-week top-up is a mandatory part of the process to ensure perfection. This must be booked between 4 and 6 weeks after your initial session. Please ensure this is scheduled before you leave the clinic to avoid additional fees or delays in your transformation.

    Typically, you can resume regular daily activities immediately following treatment.

  • How long does an appointment last?

    Your initial session usually takes 2–3 hours. This includes a detailed consultation, custom "mapping" of your shape, and the actual procedure. 

Results & Longevity

  • How long will my results last?

    Typically 12 to 36 months. Factors like skin type (oily skin fades faster), sun exposure, and lifestyle play a role.

  • Why is my makeup so dark right now?

    Typically, you can resume regular daily activities immediately following treatment.

  • When will I see the "true" healed colour?

    The final result shouldn't be judged until 4 to 6 weeks post-treatment, as pigment can "vanish" behind healing skin before resurfacing.

  • Special Note for Lips

     If you are prone to cold sores, please consult your GP for anti-viral medication to take 5 days before and after your session to prevent an outbreak.
